Capital Improvement Program Committee
What is it?
The Capital Improvement Program (CIP) is a process for identifying, funding and scheduling capital projects that have a cost of $10,000 or more and a life expectancy of 5 years or greater.
Why is the Town implementing this program?
The CIP is a planning tool that will assist the Town in determining the large projects (building renovations, town infrastructure, vehicles, etc.) that the Town may spend money on. CIP projects will be approved only by a vote at Town Meeting.
How do I learn more about the CIP?
The CIP, like all other Town entities, is a public document that is available to anyone. Additionally, the CIP operates under the guidance of the CIP Committee, which meets several times per year and those meetings are open to the public.
